Mowbray: It's not necessarily a game we have to go and win

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that the Sky Blues don't neccessarily have to beat Crawley on Sunday.

After a miserable season, where the City support have been hugely let down by performances on the pitch, which have seen chances not taken and soft goals conceded, the Sky Blues travel to the Broadfield Stadium still needing a result from their final game or hoping that results go their way if they were to lose.

Losing might be unacceptable to many of the battle weary City supporters, some have whom have dubbed the players as "the worst crop of City players for the last fifty years", who have a ticket for the game but Tony Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “It’s not necessarily a game we have to go and win

“We have to go and play like we’ve been playing our away matches, make sure we stay in the game and then we have individuals who can nick us a goal.

“Most games these days we dominate the ball more than the other, and when you have the ball they can’t score. So we have to really take care of the ball but we don’t have to force it. Sometimes we can give it away more often by trying to force the game.”
