Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he wants the club in a much stronger position when he leaves.

Mowbray has signed a two year deal and told Keiran Crowley: "The aim is to get out of this league as quickly as possible, and get into the Championship.

"Two years is enough time in my mind to build a squad which will be image of what you plan for and want.

"What I want is for fans to enjoy coming to the Ricoh Arena and expect our team to win games, which hasn't happened enough over recent years.

"One day, when I leave this club, I'm sure the club will be in a much stronger position than it is now, not just in terms of league position but also the structure in the club."
