Mowbray Hoping To Have Tudgay Back

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is hoping to have Marcus Tudgay available for selection.

The striker tweaked a hamstring in the 2-0 win at Fleetwood Town but could be back either this weekend or for Wednesday's game against Leyton Orient at the Ricoh Arena.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: “Marcus has the potential to train this week and has an outside chance of making the weekend.

“I have enjoyed working with Marcus who is an intelligent footballer who tries to do what you ask him to do rather than just running around.

“He helps the team get up the pitch rather than someone who might play the No.10 and moves forward with the ball not really knowing what to do with it and loses it, and you end up having to defend again.

“So sometimes it’s good to have someone to play with their back to goal who can bring midfielders into it and set it back.”
