Former Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has been appointed the new head coach of Blackburn Rovers.

Mowbray quit the Sky Blues back in September claiming that he could not take the club any further and has agreed an eighteenth month deal at Ewood Park.

The former Middlesbrough, Celtic and West Brom boss will take training today and his first game will be against Burton Albion on Friday.

Mowbray will have Head of Academy Coaching David Lowe as Assistant Manager and club legend David Dunn taking on the role of First Team Coach.
