Mowbray frustrated by transfer delays

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has admitted he is frustrated at the delays in signing new players ahead of City's first game of the new season at Swindon next Saturday.

Mowbray is now resolved to starting the new saeason with the players he already has and thinks the season will be four or five games old before he has a full strength squad.

He told the Coventry Telegraph, “It’s been very frustrating. It’s not proving easy to get things over the line and if we sign anybody in the next few days I think it’s unlikely they’ll play next weekend because we need to bed them down and get them playing the way we want them to, but I’m pretty relaxed about it. Although we’ll be four or five games into the season as we move out of August we’ll hopefully be in a strong position as we come to the end of the transfer window.”
