Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray felt that Jacob Murphy stepped up to the plate in City's 3-1 win at Colchester United.

Murphy scored twice in the space of eight minutes to help City to a victory which puts them a single goal behind League One leaders Gillingham and speaking about him to the Press Association, Mowbray said: "I thought Jacob Murphy stepped up to the plate, without (Adam) Armstrong.

"He's been doing so well on the wing for us but I'm delighted that he got his goals and Fortune as well, who led the line well."
