Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is continuing his search for players.
Mowbray said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Johnson and Ricketts are not the only names we have been talking to but if we can put a spine of men into this team to go along with Jim O’Brien and John Fleck, players who are battle-hardened really and who can see what’s needed then I’ll be happy.
“I want players aged 27, 28 and 30-odd – men who know what it takes to get out of this league or have experience and have played most of their careers in the Championship.
“I want a core element in there that is going to drive the rest of the team through. We are speaking to that level of footballer and hopefully we’ll drop a few in over the next week or two.”
