Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that City can only get better after losing 3-2 to Port Vale.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mowbray said: "We can only get better from here and I would have loved to have given the supporters a win.
"We have to find a way and find a solution to win some football matches with the players we have got.
"There is an opportunity for us to do that with a game on Tuesday night, but it will be another tough game.
"We are a pretty young team and a pretty naive team at times, but when we got back to 2-2 it looked like only one team was going to win it.
"Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way because we gave away a soft free-kick when we were completely in control of the situation and then found ourselves behind.
"We shouldn't be surprised where we are because the mistakes we saw are the mistakes of inexperienced footballers.
"I can't fault their endeavour and their determination, but maybe we have to go even more basic to find a way to win football matches."
