Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that Matt Pennington is the most consistent player that City currently have.

Pennington has played nineteen games on loan for City from Everton and has done an excellent job and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Tony Mowbray said:  “I would have to say he’s been as consistent a player as we have here.

“You know what you’re going to get from Pennington – he’s competitive, does his job in a focused way and listens to the coach and gets on with it. He’s doing exceptionally well and he’s got good human qualities that will stand him in good stead.

“Can he get to that level? First and foremost you need an opportunity, of course, and whether that opportunity comes for him we’ll wait and see. But it’s only doing him good coming here, playing and trying to progress as a footballer."
