Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that Shaun Miller needs to catch his eye if he is to have a future at the Sky Blues.
The striker was back playing for the U21's on Monday after coming back from injury and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: “Shaun’s been in to see me. He was signed by Sheffield United for a few quid and watching him on Monday I can see his movement is quite good.
“The bottom line is he needs to train and show me on the training pitch, catch my eye and score some goals, make some good movement and get hold of the ball so I come in and think that Miller deserves to get on the bench.
“I can’t do that just because he’s fit, he has to show me. I told him it’s no good telling me, he has to show me what he can do and I thought the first signs were good because he had some nice touches.
“So let’s wait and see how he does. But time is running out. We’re, what, five weeks away but he’s another potential option for us.”
