Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is pleased with the way Ben Turner is progressing.

Turner is on loan from Cardiff City in a bid to get match fit after his knee injury and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, the City boss said: “When a player is coming back from a bad injury you just hope that they will come out of the first two or three games trouble free so, touch wood, it’s looking very good for Ben.

“I’ve obviously kept Russell Slade fully in touch so Ben’s going down to Cardiff for a day so their own people can assess him then he’ll be back with us to prepare for Sheffield.

“He’s done exactly what we hoped he would, giving us what we missed when Reda was injured. They win their headers, put their body on the line and pass it nice and simple but efficiently and effectively.

“A successful squad is all about balance – you need your technicians, your speed and your power but you want all of them to have good personalities. That’s what we’ve got at the moment which is why our form is pretty decent.”
