Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is looking forward to seeing how his side performs against Wigan Athletic.

Wigan, are top of the table and many people's favourites to win League One and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, the City boss said: “Let’s see how we can gauge ourselves against what is probably the best team in this league – the team with the biggest budget, the greatest expectations.

“We’re all disappointed we’ve slipped away when we should be doing better but is this a team not trying, a team that’s given up? No - they’re a team whose pride has been hurt and we have to keep going, keep believing that we can improve by trying to do the right things.

“So let’s go to Wigan and see how we can perform on a big pitch against a very good team – let’s test ourselves.

“Hopefully our younger players can look forward to it without the pressure they’ve carried a bit.

“That pressure is perhaps not there now but we’ve not given up – we’ve got six matches to play and we’ve got to go into each one believing that we can win.”
