Mowbray - Hugely Disappointed Not To Win

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he was hugely disappointed that his side could only draw 1-1 at Chesterfield.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray who was sent to the stands for comments to the referee, said: “We’re hugely disappointed that we didn’t take three points but we got some reward for our efforts so we’ll take that and move on.

“Chesterfield have been struggling but a new manager gave them some impetus – they scored a great goal and then they dug in, showed the qualities that I’m sure will stand them in good stead this season.

“But we showed character, desire and commitment – all the stuff we talk about, never mind the talent. The fans came today and showed how passionate they are so as a team the least we can do is show some passion on the field.”
