Mowbray - A Question Of Who We Can Get

Last updated : 18 April 2016 By CNS Staff

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he and his staff are working really hard to to identify players for next season.

The City boss, who hopefully won't be making the mistakes he did in giving deals to Lateef Elford Alliyu, Stephen Hunt and Peter Ramage again, told the Coventry Telegraph at this morning's press conference: “We are sifting through really. We have a list of players out of contract and have to see if they fit the blueprint of how you want to set your team up.

“There’s no emergency loans so you have to develop relationships with Premier League clubs.

“It’s a bit up in the air because those clubs don’t want to commit their young players too early.

“We have scouting reports and doing our best to cover as much ground as possible.

“We’re out there working really hard trying to identify players for next year.”

“We watch lots of players and it’s a question of who we can get.”

“Ideally you’d have your own players and just change a few every summer.”
