The striker, formerly with Crystal Palace, is a free agent after an offer made by the South London club was withdrawn.
He travelled to Switzerland with City this week making two substitute appearances for the Sky Blues at Martigny & Stade Nyonnais.
Speaking to supporters after last night's defeat in Nyon, the Republic Of Ireland international said that "a deal was done bar the technicalities."
City travelled home after the game last night and will train in Coventry this week before heading off to Cambridge United next Saturday.
