Crystal Palace manager George Burley has admitted he is considering offering Clinton Morrison a third term at Selhurst Park.

The 31 year old, who had spent the previous two years at Coventry City, was not offered a new contract with the Sky Blues, so is now a free agent.

Burley told the Croydon Advertiser, "We are looking at one or two strikers at the moment. We have got to consider what is going to be best for the club."

Morrison' two previous spells at Selhurst Park were from 1998 -2002 where he played 157 times and scored 61 goals before he left to join Birmingham City where he stayed until 2005. He rejoined Crystal Palace on a three year deal where he played another 124 games this time scoring 41 goals.

Morrison was offered a contract extension by Neil Warnock, then in charge at Palace, but was warned he would not be the automatic first choice striker, so he opted for a better, two year deal with Coventry City.

City released Morrison at the end of the disappointing 2010 season and he left when his contract expired at the end of June.
