Coventry City stand in captain Clinton Morrison has apologised to the Sky Blue Army who paid good money to see City beaten at Derby on Saturday.

Over 2100 fans were officially recorded as being in the away end at Pride Park and those there saw City let in two goals in the first sixteen minutes which effectively cost them the game.

"I apologise on behalf of myself and the team to the fans who pay their hard-earned money to watch us, and they came in numbers to Derby where we didn't turn up," said Morrison to the CT.

"I take pride in my football and I am the first person to admit things have not worked out for the last two or three games, but you always get another game to put that right.

"We need to nip this in the bud now because we had been on a great little run and now we have lost two games running.

"But we have got proper wingers in now so hopefully that will help me because I am a player who you might not see much in a game and then if the ball comes into the box, that's where I am judged, so hopefully I can stay in the box more and I won't go hiding, no matter what happens."
