Morrell going nowhere - Chairman

The pre-season signing from Wrexham and City fans player of the month for September has already scored five goals this season, prompting reports of clubs showing an interest in the forward.

"A club would have no chance if they came in with an offer of £2million for Andy Morrell," the chairman told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

"If you are talking about silly money of £10million plus then we would have to consider it. But for £1million to £3million, forget it.

"But no-one has been in touch regarding Andy. Within our business plan we do not have to sell players. We can go from strength to strength and at this moment in time I am not asking Gary McAllister to cut back on the playing side."
