Coventry City warmed up for tonight's opening pre-season friendly at Portland Timbers with a double training session.

Micky Adams is expected to leave out Mikkel Bischoff,Elliott Ward,Wayne Andrews,Colin Cameron and Don Hutchison for the game on astro turf at PGE Park which kicks off at 7pm local time (3am UK time). Listen to the game at http://www.sportsjuice.com/broadcaster2.aspx?bid=MTU4-C7Lr4Livr%2b8%3d

Adams admitted to the CET that the eight hour time difference was not helping either him or the players. The City boss said: "Thursday was a bit of problem because a number of players were wandering round unable to sleep at ridiculous hours in the morning, but we are adjusting to the time difference." The time difference between Portland and the UK has meant that Adams has found it hard trying to bring in the two new players he wants, one of which will be a keeper.

The next game in this two match tour is against Brigham Young University Cougars on Tuesday July 11th in Provo,Utah.

The Uni side which plays in the Premier Development Leagues Western Division, have been less than helpful with the match arrangements, switching the date of the game and then not confirming arrangements until last Friday and have put a crowd restriction of 3,100 on the game. Tickets prices have been increased to $10.
Whilst,Coventry is a multi-cultural,multi -faith city, the state of Utah is not. The Cougars side made up exclusively of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and in Provo, where the University, some 44 miles out of Salt Lake City is based, the consumption of alcohol, cigarettes and even tea & coffee are seen as committing a sin.
