Strong rumours from a number of different sources are indicating that Neil Warnock is alleged to have applied for the vacant job at Highfield Road.

The current Sheffield United boss is alleged to be underfire from some sections of Blades supporters and is believed to want a move slightly closer to his Devon home. Micky Adams who is a Sheffield United fan is believed to be a likely replacement at Brammal Lane if Warnock was to leave.

Former City Academy Manager Richard Money is also believed to be interested in the job. Money was at the Alan Higgs Centre watching the Academy beat Cardiff this morning.

Adrian Heath has also put his name in the hat saying: "I said we’d get today out of the way and we’ve got an excellent result. I do think I’m capable of doing a job and I know if we’d lost today I’d probably have had no chance of getting it. Maybe now a few people will give me a thought and if I get it I’d be delighted."

"I’ll go and see the Chairman now and I think the Board had a meeting this morning so he might have more to tell me. I’ll just keep doing what I’ve always done which is prepare the players as best as I can."
