Millwall Gain Ground On City

Millwall moved to within a point of fifth placed Coventry City in the League One table.

The Lions won 3-0 at second placed Walsall who are now four points behind Burton Albion who beat Bradford City 3-1 at home.

Wigan Athletic are up to third thanks to a 2-0 win at Sheffield United and they go above Gillingham who drew 0-0 with Swindon Town.

Southend kept up their bid for a play-offs place with a 3-0 win over Colchester United and are now only a point behind the Sky Blues with Peterborough in eighth placed after a 1-0 win at Chesterfield.

Crewe increased their chances of avoid the drop with a 2-0 home win over Rochdale.

The games between Oldham and Blackpool and Scunthorpe and Doncaster were postponed.
