Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that he would welcome Michael Mifsud back in the club's arms if the Maltese international came off the transfer list and pledged his future to the Sky Blues.

Mifsud, demanded to be allowed to leave Coventry City back in July, but has yet to give the City support which has backed him in the games he has played anything to cheer about, when he was given a recall to the team for the Aldershot game.

He has kept quiet about any plans, but it understood that his advisors are yet to come up with a club that is willing to match the £9k a week, that he currently enjoys.

Mifsud, who is again in the squad for Saturday's game at Doncaster, can talk to clubs in January as his contract expires next June.

"Whether he signs again or moves on that's his prerogative," said Coleman to the CT, "but as long as he continues to give everything and play wherever we want him to, then I haven't got a problem with him.

"If Michael comes to me and says 'I don't want to be on the list any more,' I'll welcome him with open arms."
