There are reports in the North East that Middlesbrough remain interested in Coventry City forward Lukas Jutkiewicz.
City's leading scorer, who looks likely to be at the Ricoh Arena until January, remains a target for Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray who tried to land the former Everton player back in August.
However, they could face a bidding war with Southampton who are also expected to make a bid.
