As expected, former Coventry City player and manager Micky Adams has been sacked by Sheffield United.

Adams left his job at Port Vale to manage his home town club but could not prevent them from being relegated to League One, winning only four matches out of twenty four.

Adams was dismissed after a meeting with United owner Kevin McCabe this afternoon.
