Coventry City captain Carl Baker has said that he uses the memory of his late brother Michael to drive him on in matches

Baker's elder brother died five years ago of Leukaemia and the City skipper told John Wragg of the Daily Express: "Not just this game, every single game. It can be the smallest game ever,Michael is always in my head.

“I’ve got my ritual I do before every game, saying a couple of prayers and asking Michael to look over me and help me, help me chip in with a goal, help us get a result.

“I have done it since the day he passed away.

“I’m really passionate about it. I do as much stuff as I can off the pitch for charities, for leukemia.

“We’ve raised lots of money since Michael passed away but going into games, it is something I use , to drive on.

“I know he’s looking down over me so every time I step foot on the pitch I want to be able to do him proud.”
