MEP Nikki Sinclaire has reported Coventry City Council to the European Union's anti-fraud department.
Her complaint over the use of funding received for the Ricoh Arena project comes in 2003 after making Freedom of Information requests to the City Council and the EEC about where money around £4.75m from the European Regional Development Fund had been spent.
However, the Coventry Observer are reporting that the answers the MEP received are very different.
