Coventry City striker Gary McSheffrey was delighted to have scored his first goal for his home town club in his second spell.

Speaking about his goal in the 14th minute of the 1-1 draw with West Brom this afternoon to Sky Blue Player, McSheffrey said: I'm obviously pleased to have got off the mark because it always takes a bit of pressure off you but on the whole I thought all of the lads did really well.

"We played some good football, we did well on the counter attack, broke really well and to be honest we could have had a couple more goals before half time.

"It's still all about getting everything right before the start of the season because Portsmouth next week will be a completely different game but West Brom are a good side and it was a good test for us."
