Former Coventry City player Gary McSheffrey has joined Grimsby Town on a short term deal.
35 year old McSheffrey, who made 247 appearances for his home town club, has been training at Doncaster Rovers and Scunthorpe after making eleven appearances for National League side Eastleigh earlier this season.
If he does sign a deal today, then he could be in Michael Jolley's squad to face the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena in their next home match on Saturday March 24th.
