New signing David McNamee has been speaking about his move to Lady Godiva's City. The full back who signed for £100k told City's official club website: "I'm absolutely delighted to sign. "I've been down here two nights and everyone has been really welcoming so I'm looking forward to my time here. "It's a massive Club and there's not too many Clubs down here which have this kind of set-up. As soon as I found out Coventry City was interested, I jumped at the chance of coming here.

"I've had a few chats with Micky Adams and he has expressed how he would like me to play and in what position and he's been very impressive since I have been down here. He has been very frank and honest with me about how the Club want to push and get back into the Premiership and hopefully I can be part of that."

"I'm a full-back, I usually play right-back although I have played left-back and midfield. But full-back is my natural position and I hope I can get into the first-team and hold down a spot.

"I started my career at St Mirren where I was bought by Blackburn Rovers. I had three seasons down there and then moved back up to Livingston. Now obviously I have moved onto a bigger stage with Coventry. "The Championship is well-covered up in Scotland as well so I've managed to see a few games. It's definitely something I am relishing."
