Coventry City striker Leon McKenzie could be out for months if tests show that he has a tear in his thigh.

The forward, who joined City from Norwich, aggrevated his thigh in training on Friday morning and City boss Chris Coleman is gutted to be possibly losing the services of a key player who has fought his way back to fitness after a similar injury last season.

"We had a light training session on Friday and he went to cross the ball but pulled up sharply, we think he has got a tear in the thigh opposite his injury that he had last year",said Chris Coleman to the CT.

"The symptoms look as if they are more than a grade one tear but we arehoping that it is not a grade three. It was obviously bleeding inside and we have had to wait until that dies down before he can get a scan. Fingers crossed it won't be too bad but it does not look good.

"If it is grade one then he will be out for three weeks to a month. If it is a grade two then it is six weeks to two months but if it is a grade three then we could be lookoing at a lot longer than that."
