Coventry City manager Mark Robins believes that on loan striker David  McGoldrick has found his 'home' at Coventry.

The Nottingham Forest striker has scored 13 goals in his 18 games in the Sky Blue, breaking Clarrie Bourton's 80 year old record of scoring in six consecutive away games in the process.

Fans have been clamouring for the club to sign McGoldrick on a permanent deal in the January transfer window, but his success at Coventry has highlighted his talent and attracted the interest of a host of League One and Championship clubs.

Mark Robins told the club website, “There is a lot to play out from now and the date David’s loan contract with the club runs out. There are a lot of things to consider for both the two clubs and the player, but what we will say is that we will always try and hold onto our better players, and he is certainly one of the better players, not only here, but in the entire league.

“We know he will generate interest amongst other clubs but we will also know that we have been really good for him and if he remains with us, we can make him better."
