Speaking to Sky Sports after announcing his decision to stand down as Coventry City Chairman, Mike McGinnity said: "After the time I had here as chairman, it's been a difficult road as everyone knows. "It's been a continual battle which has taken its toll on my health.
"I've taken my family's advice and medical advice that it's about time I started looking after my health.
"It's (the club) in better hands than when I took over, so if that's what you go by, then yes [it was a success].
"I will still be involved on the periphery with the club, which after 14 years of being involved at board level, I will still enjoy."
