Coventry City defender Rod McDonald has wished Jodi Jones all the best in his recovery from a ruptured ACL.
McDonald told the club website: “It’s very sad what’s happened to him because the season he was having, it was tremendous. And I just wish him all the best and obviously I just hope he focuses on getting back fit and that’s all he should be doing at the moment.
“It’s part and parcel of the game and it hurts a lot of players but obviously Jodi is strong enough mentally to come back from it.
“He is a big part of the team; you can’t knock that. He’s a good lad to have in the changing room. When he came in, he’s only young and when you see a young lad down like that, it’s hard to take.”
