McDermid In Charge For Trip To Middlesbrough

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game at Middlesbrough on Saturday is Danny McDermid from London.

The Civil Servant he started refereeing in 1991 in Northern Ireland before spending time in North Yorkshire. He joined the National List of assistant referees in 2002, and was promoted to the referees’ list in 2006.

He has had thirty matches this season including City's 0-0 draw at Swansea and has shown 104 yellow cards and four red. His last match was Carlisle's 2-1 home defeat by Oldham Athletic.

Mr McDermid's only other City game was the 0-0 draw between City and Cardiff in Feb 2008,

Assistants are Michael Denton from Lancashire & Billy Khatib from Tyne & Wear. The Fourth Official is Alf Greenwood from Yorkshire.
