Long standing Coventry City supporter, Coventry City Diamond Club Committee member, former Director and Chairman Joe Elliott amongst other roles, has been named as a recipient of a MBE in the Queens New Year's Honours List.
Joe, known as "Mr Coventry" will receive the honour of being made a Member Of The British Empire at a date to be announced and is being recognised for his services to museums as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Coventry Transport Museum.
Speaking to Covsupport News Service, Joe said; "I am over the moon. It is a great one for the team at the Motor Museum and now Culture Coventry."
Coventry City Council Leader Ann Lucas is to receive an OBE for services to local government.
Two other Coventry people also were named in the Honours List.
They are: Mrs Penelope Collard. Chairman, Penderels Trust and chief executive, Crossroads Care, Coventry and Warwickshire. For services to People with Disabilities. (Coventry, West Midlands) and Mrs Janet Alma Outhwaite. For services to the community in Binley Woods, Coventry. (Coventry, West Midlands)
