Coventry City defender Arron Martin has said that criticism is Tony Mowbray's way of getting him angry for a game.
Martin told the Coventry Telegraph at this morning's press conference: “Sometimes I feel that’s his way of getting me angry for a game. And the angrier I am the better I play.
“The manager knows what to say at the right time. He wants you to do better and he certainly brings the best out of me.
“That was his trade, where he played his career so he knows the position and that’s why he’s probably harder on us.
“He played as such a high standard as well and they want to make sure we’re on top of our game.
“That is his way of getting the best out of me. This season has been one of my best and Tony has been a big part of that
“Sometimes you need to hear the positives. It is a tough industry, we need to keep making sure we are going in the right direction .”
