Marlon King has said that he will fight to clear his name.

The former Wigan striker who has been spoken to by Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd, told BBC Radio 5 Live's Victoria Derbyshire that he was not a sex pest after serving nine months for sexually assaulting a woman, punching her in the face and breaking her nose.

"I'm not trying to paint myself as an angel but I am no sex beast," said King who denied he hated women by saying: "I've got a daughter, wife and sisters. It's ludicrous to say I hate women."
