Former Coventry City striker Marlon King appeared in court in Nottingham to deny charges of Dangerous Driving.
King, now with Sheffield United, spoke only to confirm his name and make a not guilty plea to the charges of dangerous driving following a three-car crash which left another motorist with a fractured elbow on the A46 in Nottinghamshire.
King asked for the trial to be delayed until the close season but it was denied and will now take place in March.
