Coventry City defender Marcus Hall has taken a pay cut in order to sign a one year deal for the Sky Blues.

Hall signed a new deal yesterday and told the CT, who will be running their Fan Of The Year competition this year: "I am delighted to sign my new contract. "It was never about the money this time. I am at the time in my career where it is more important to be settled and I have never really wanted to move.

"I was really pleased when the manager said he wanted me to sign a new deal and it was simply a question of "Where do I sign?.

"I have taken a slight pay cut but that's something I am prepared to do because I am really happy here at Coventry and I want to be part of things.

"We have a good bunch of lads and I know the manager is working hard to improve the squad so that we can hopefully have a really good season."

The Coventry born defender will have his testimonial match against Everton on Sunday August 2nd and ticket news for that game will appear on this site when it is available.
