Former Coventry City loanee Gary Madine has been loaned out Chesterfield.

The 19 year old striker, who had nine substitute appearances and three reserve games for the Sky Blues, scored a penalty on Tuesday night for Carlisle to help them over-come Leeds and get to the the JPT Final.

However, Madine has been loaned out by Coventry born Carlisle boss Greg Abbott to Chesterfield for a month and Abbott told the Carlisle official club website: "We think this is a move that will benefit everyone.

"It will help Chesterfield and it gets Gary some valuable pitch time. "He came back from Coventry in a determined mood and this will help to make sure that he is playing competitive football regularly rather than waiting for reserve games to get the full 90 minutes that he needs at the moment."
