Mackail-Smith Worth A Look At

With Coventry City needing strikers, one striker who is available, stood out at Kenilworth Road yesterday.

That is Craig Mackail-Smith, who was on trial with Luton Town after being released by Brighton & Hove Albion.

The work-rate and energy during the game was excellent from a proven goalscorer with Dagenham & Redbridge, Peterborough United, where he picked up a Football League award in 2011, Brighton & Hove Albion and even the Scottish national team for whom he has scored once in seven appearances and having a player like that on the books would certainly lift the Sky Blues.

Luton Town have said that they will decide if they are going to offer Mackail-Smith a contract tomorrow but if they don't, the Sky Blues should certainly be ready to step in and see if his goals and work rate can fit their needs.
