Low Number Of People In The Ricoh Expected For City V Sheff United

The actual number of people in the ground is expected to be low for Coventry City's League One game against Sheffield United on Thursday night at the Ricoh Arena.

Traditionally, the last home games before Christmas are the poorest attended of the season due to supporters being dragged out shopping or having to use money they would normally spend at a game on presents and things for the festive season or too hungover from the works party.

The game being shown live on Sky Sports will have a massive effect as supporters won't bother with paying to get to and get into a game which many who have Sky, Virgin etc are already paying for.

For those who don't have Sky Sports, the game will be available via a number of streaming sites on line around the world or on sites provided by bookmakers.

Then of course, there are always the countless number of pubs and clubs which will be showing the game live and the money saved with Coventry City charging full admission prices, by not going to the game, will be enough in many cases, to ensured that you are well oiled enough to be able to take the pain that watching a side managed by Mark Venus brings.

Moving the game to a work, school, college, Uni night will mean that many will be unble to get to the game and will have problems getting to the game and back on public transport.

Then, there is the standard of football on offer. That alone will keep many away if comments on social media are anything to go by. Many supporters are refusing to go whilst Mark Venus is in charge with plenty not going until Sisu and Golden Share holders Otium of which Venus is a director, are out of the club completely.

That's if the results of a team which has lost its last five league matches and rumours of plain clothed police watching supporters in case they start any protests, have not put enough off already.
