Local Stars Turn Out For Crawls

A benefit game for former Coventry Sphinx,VS Rugby and Telford United legend Ian Crawley who is suffering from Motor Neurone Disease attracted a good gate today at Rugby Town FC.

The game saw a Rugby Town Legends beat a Rugby All Stars 3-1 with Ian Crawley's son Jamie on the scoresheet.

Ian is the grandson of former City legend Tommy Crawley who played for City from 1936-1948 and scored eight goals in a war-time game against West Brom.

More fundraisers are planned.
