Lewis The Ref For City's Game At Crawley

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's League One game at Crawley is Rob Lewis from Shrewsbury.

Mr Lewis started his refereeing career in the Shrewsbury and Shropshire leagues and came through the ranks as an assistant referee where he made it onto the FIFA List and ran the line for a number of high profile international matches, with one of the highlights running the line at the Bernabeu Stadium for a Champions League match when David Beckham was playing for Real Madrid.

Mr Lewis has not had a City first team game before although he did have a reserve team game against Fulham in 2005 which finished 1-1.

This season, he had had 21 matches (seven of which have been League One matches) , shown 66 yellow cards and no reds.

His assistants are; Rob Hyde and Wes Linden. The Fourth Official is Daniel Cook.
