Former Coventry City forward Leon Best is having a medical with Blackburn Rovers with a view to teaming up once again with Steve Kean.
Best joined Newcastle in January 2010 and has scored ten goals in 46 appearances for the Geordies but missed the latter part of last season through injury and has been down the pecking order following the arrival of Papiss Cisse.
