Legends Day 2015 on Saturday proved that a year’s absence has not diminished the emotional attachment that so many former players of Coventry City over so many generations have retained for the club and its fans. Clearly that warm affection for the Club’s stars of the past by today’s Sky Blues fans has also not faded in spite of the recent challenges faced by CCFC.
Though the size of the Sky Blue faithful present at the Doncaster home game was lower than for previous Legends Days a wonderful turnout of nearly forty veterans from well over half a century of playing ups and downs (across both Bantams and Sky Blues eras) came from all over Britain (and John Tudor flew in from the USA) to rejoin the Sky Blue family once again.
