Leeds United travel to The Ricoh Arena, Coventry on Saturday without club captain Richard Naylor, who misses his third successive game because of a knee injury.
Team mate Sanchez Watt will also be missing as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Goalkeeper Shane Higgs is not yet fit enough to return from a hamstring strain. He is nearly there, but he will not be risked until he is fully fit.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson might recall Lloyd Sam to his squad after watching using the winger in a behind closed doors friendly against Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday.
Ross McCormack has trained all week and could be in contention for a squad place. Billy Paynter will probably start on the bench after making his competitive debut for Leeds as a substitute in last weekend's victory at Scunthorpe United.
Leeds boss Grayson said, "One or two people have come back into contention. Lloyd Sam and Billy Paynter played on Tuesday and Ross McCormack's had a week's extra training."
"Richard Naylor and Sanchez Watt are out and Shane Higgs is training with us again but he won't be involved."
