Leeds United have cancelled the contract of Jermaine Beckford.

The striker, whom Coventry City, along with a host of clubs, were interested in signing a year ago, was out of contract at Elland Road on June 30th, but his contract has now been cancelled early.

This appears to have been done so that the 26 year old can move to Everton when the transfer window re-opens on June 1st.
