Leeds Are Going Down

Leeds United are all but relegated from the Championship after being held to a 1-1 draw. Richard Cresswell put Dennis Wise's side ahead but Lee equalised two minutes from time, sparking acts of violence from some Leeds supporters. The draw leaves Leeds needing a 9-0 victory at promotion chasing Derby County next Sunday.

They will play Southend next season who were relegated after a 3-1 home defeat by already relegated Luton Town.

At the other end of the table, Birmingham went back top after a 2-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday. A defeat for Derby tomorrow at Palace will give them automatic promotion and some coffers into the Sky Blue bank account. Sunderland will also join them after a 3-2 win at Burnley last night.

There were wins for Leicester, Stoke,Wolves, Hull,Southampton and Plymouth. City are down to 18th in the table.

In the Premier League, Sheffield United and West Ham eased their relgation worries. The Bladies beat Watford 1-0 whilst West Ham won 2-0 at Wigan. Charlton lost 4-1 at Blackburn and are second bottom two points behnd West Ham with two to play.

With Scunthorpe already planning their trip to the Arena next season, Bristol City remain in second place after a 1-0 defeat at Millwall. Forest, Blackpool for whom Claus Jorgensen scored in a 3-1 win at home to Scunthorpe, Yeovil and Oldham with possibly Swansea will contest the Play-off places.
