Lee Hughes Fined For Assault

Former Coventry City forward Lee Hughes has been fined £500 and order to pay £120 in prosecution costs after pleading guilty to assaulting a woman in a hotel last year.

The police were called to a hotel in Purley Way in Croydon, where his Notts County team were preparing for an FA Cup tie against Sutton United and Hughes was subsequently cautioned.

Today, he was fined by Croydon Crown Court and given 28 days to pay or face possible imprisonment.
